Approximately 90% of the information we acquire is obtained visually.  That's pretty compelling when you consider the ramifications for educators.  Reduce the text in your PowerPoint presentations.  Use images to convey meaning.  The saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words" is more true than most of us realize.
